On the 11th of June 2021 at 13:00hrs to 15:30hrs GMT, we unpacked the widely reported European Super League (ESL) proposition, one of the most short-lived projects, which either failed to take off, or exploded soon after take off – depending on which angle you choose to look at it – and the conversations, emotions, perspectives and backlash that were all invoked during its attempt and abortion. What were its driving convictions? What were the miscalculations, if any? What were the reactions and the underlying reasons for these reactions? What are the long-term implications to its key sponsors and steering members? Most importantly, what are the key lessons for Talent Leaders in the corporate environment?
